I am thrilled to begin my second year as your principal for the 2026-2027 school year and to continue serving this wonderful community. This year marks my 31st year in education, having served in various administrative, teaching, coaching, and board roles.
My journey in education began after earning a BS in Mathematics Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, and later an MA in School Leadership from Concordia University, Oak Park-River Forest, Illinois. I taught mathematics and coached volleyball and basketball at Carmel High School from 1996-2009.
Prior to coming here, I had the privilege of serving as Principal at Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for three years. During my tenure, Saint Viator received a Blue Ribbon award for the 2023-24 school year. Before that, I was the Principal at Saint Patrick High School in Chicago, Illinois, from 2013-2022 and was honored to be named Lasallian Educator of the Year for the 2020-21 school year. My administrative career began at Algonquin Middle School, where I served as an assistant principal from 2009-2013.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three daughters—Ella, who graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in May and is now an 8th grade ELA teacher; Hailey, who is a junior at the University of Illinois double majoring in Graphic Design and Communication with a minor in Spanish; and Michaelene, who is a senior at Libertyville High School. I have been happily married to my wife Tiffani for 25 years.
I am eager to build upon the connections made last year with the students, families, faculty, and staff that make up this school and district. As always, you will see me throughout the building—in classrooms, the lunchroom, greeting students in the morning, and supporting our students at concerts, games, and activities. Please don't hesitate to say hello whenever you see me around.

Welcome to Wilmette Junior High School! I am thrilled to begin my third year at WJHS serving this year as the Seventh Grade Level Administrator (GLAd). I am looking forward to continuing to build relationships with our students, staff, and the WJHS community. I am passionate about fostering a strong and inclusive school community where every student feels a sense of belonging and connection. I am excited for the great opportunities that lie ahead in the 2026-27 school year.
Prior to this position, I spent nine years as a middle school math teacher at Edison Middle School in Wheaton, where I also served on the school's Instructional Leadership Team and coached Track & Field and Cross Country. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons and am an avid runner.

Welcome to a new year at Wilmette Junior High! I'm so happy to continue working with our students as the Eighth Grade GLAd this year. Eighth grade is an exciting time! I’m looking forward to supporting students as they take risks, learn more about themselves, and celebrate their final year in District 39.
This is my second year at WJHS. Previously, I spent nine years teaching sixth grade science at Highcrest. I also grew up in Wilmette and attended District 39 schools - I’m so happy to continue to be part of the Wilmette community. When I'm not at work I enjoy playing hockey, going to Cubs games with my husband, and hanging out with my dog, Roo.
